Fine wine and spirits, with fill levels and cellar history in every lot

A wine bidder reads the fill level, the label and the cellar before the vintage. Auctionomy gives every lot room for that detail, on a website that is your house's and with no commission taken on the hammer price.

How your bidders buy

What your bidders read for

Fill level and condition are read closely

Bordeaux shapes are described by shoulder (into neck, top shoulder, high shoulder and lower), Burgundy shapes by centimetres below the cork. Labels, capsules and seepage are noted bottle by bottle.

Provenance and storage set the bid

Bidders want to know where the wine has lived: original wooden case, professional storage, a private cellar, or bought on release from the château or merchant.

In bond or duty paid

Lots held in bond are sold without duty and VAT paid, and the buyer settles those on release. A clear house marks every lot as in bond or duty paid.

Catalogued your way

Every line of the entry has its place

Description, estimate, condition and provenance are separate parts of every lot on Auctionomy, and each one shows on the lot page. The entry shown here is an illustration, written the way the trade writes it.

Run the way your house runs it

Fill levels and labels in the condition note

Record fill levels, label and capsule condition per bottle in each lot's condition note, and the cellar and purchase history as provenance, all shown on the lot page.

Cases, parcels and single bottles

Arrange the sale by region, producer or vintage with your own categories, and describe each lot as a single bottle, a case or a mixed parcel, with in-bond or duty-paid status written into the lot.

Absentee bids for collectors abroad

Bidders leave an absentee bid on the parcels they want and the engine bids for them, under the increment table and buyer's premium your house sets.

Timed sales between your live sales

Run monthly timed sales for cellar dispersals alongside your live sales. A late bid extends the close of a timed lot.

Your trade, your house

Fluent in the trade, and unmistakably yours

Briarwick Cellar Auctions is a demonstration house: fictional, built on Auctionomy to show how a house specialising in wine & spirits looks on the platform. Its name, colours, typeface and page layout are its own, assembled from the same components every house uses. Yours would carry your name, your logo and your look, on your own domain.
