Jewellery catalogued the way a gemmologist would

Jewellery bidders buy on the stones, the metal and the period, and they read treatment disclosures closely. Auctionomy gives every lot room to state all of it, on a website in your house's own colours.

How your bidders buy

What your bidders read for

Stones, metal and marks

Bidders expect the principal stones, their cut and approximate weight, the metal and its marks, and the period or maker. An old European cut or a rose cut tells them the date as much as the style does.

Treatment is disclosed

Heating and other enhancements change the value of rubies, sapphires and emeralds. A laboratory report stating whether treatment was detected carries real weight with bidders.

Measurements and fit

Ring size, bracelet length and pendant dimensions decide whether a piece suits a bidder, so they belong in every description.

Catalogued your way

Every line of the entry has its place

Description, estimate, condition and provenance are separate parts of every lot on Auctionomy, and each one shows on the lot page. The entry shown here is an illustration, written the way the trade writes it.

Report details beside the estimate

State stones, metal and any laboratory report in the description, wear and repairs in the condition note, and history in provenance. Each shows in its own place on the lot page.

Close-up images

Add the front, the gallery, the marks and the clasp. As many images as a piece needs.

Departments as categories

Keep antique and period jewellery, fine jewels and unset stones apart with categories you define. Bidders filter and search by them.

Timed sales with a fair close

Run a focused timed sale that extends its close when a late bid lands, with absentee bids following your increments. No commission is taken on the hammer price.

Your trade, your house

Fluent in the trade, and unmistakably yours

Linden Quay Jewellery Auctions is a demonstration house: fictional, built on Auctionomy to show how a house specialising in jewellery & gemstones looks on the platform. Its name, colours, typeface and page layout are its own, assembled from the same components every house uses. Yours would carry your name, your logo and your look, on your own domain.
