Arms, armour and militaria, catalogued with the care the material needs

A militaria catalogue mixes swords, firearms, helmets, uniforms and medals, each with its own vocabulary and its own rules about who may buy. Auctionomy gives you the fields to describe each lot properly and the approval step to decide who bids.

How your bidders buy

What your bidders read for

Object first, then maker and marks

Bidders expect a heading that names the object, its type, period and place, followed by maker, proof and inspection marks, materials and measurements. Replacement parts are named as such.

Status matters as much as condition

Whether a firearm is antique, deactivated or licensable decides who may buy it. In Great Britain an antique firearm must predate 1 September 1939 and be chambered for a listed obsolete cartridge, and a deactivated arm should carry its certificate.

Unlike things stay apart

Edged weapons, firearms, armour, uniforms and orders are bought by different specialists. A good catalogue keeps them in their own sections rather than one long list.

Catalogued your way

Every line of the entry has its place

Run a timed sale with the close extending on late bids, or a live sale with absentee bids left in advance. Live video streaming is in development.

Its name, colours, typeface and page layout are its own, assembled from the same components every house uses. Yours would carry your name, your logo and your look, on your own domain.
