1043 | 1851-1970, a large mint and used collection, housed in 3 Scott albums: the first is predominately mint hinged throughout, heavy in the Washington-Franklins and has most of the value; the second album is mainly used stamps from the 20th century and then many commemorative singles; and the third album is back of the book including airmails, postage dues and a decent section of inexpensive revenues. A great collection with lots of finds! A few minor faults, overall Fine to Very Fine. We have imaged much of the first album and some of the third to give a flavor of the lot. 1044 | 1852-1999, a mint and used collection in 6 luxurious Davo hingeless albums, older issues are mainly used, issues from the 1930's on are mixed mint and used (even including canceled se-tenant sheets), with much modern never hinged postage, plus some airmail and other back-of-the-book. No rarities but many hundreds of stamps, generally Fine to Very Fine. The albums alone retail for more than our estimate for the whole lot. Shipping weight 31 lbs / 14 kilos. 1045 | 1852-2000, a misc. accumulation and hodge-podge. 2 big boxes of fun, including a couple Scott National albums (mostly modern postage with modest coverage of older issues), a couple albums of modern used, plate blocks galore and a bit of U.N. The postage seems to win on this one. Shipping weight 43 lbs / 19.5 kilos. | $100
1046 | 1857-1992, a very extensive, mostly mint collection, packed with better sets and singles, attractively arranged in mounts in 2 Scott American albums. Regular issues include a scattering of mostly used 19th century and weak Washington-Franklins, then (mint) the 1922-23 issue complete (551-573, LH), 1923 perf. 10 complete, Kans.-Nebr. complete, Presidentials complete, and then virtually complete to 1988. Mint commemoratives include Columbians to the 30¢, Trans-Mississippi to the 10¢, Pan-Americans complete, Louisiana Purchase and Jamestown complete, and then virtually complete from 1919 to 1992 (but no White Plains souvenir sheet). Airmail issues are complete mint to 1988 less only the 1930 Zeppelin set. There are a few special delivery and other back-of-the-book issue (but nothing great) and many booklet panes. Centering averages Fine to Very Fine for the more expensive early mint issues, and Very Fine for the balance; the few used are mediocre. Early mint issues are mainly o.g., hinged, with extensive NH later. Only a few inconsequential faults noted. All in all a really nice intact collection with much value for the collector, or for the dealer looking for better items. A small sampling has been imaged. Shipping weight 9.5 lbs / 4.3 kilos. 1047 | 1857-2000, a massive accumulation of collections in albums, including 9 Scott National albums, 2 Minuteman albums, 2 Harris albums, 5 plate block albums, and several misc. albums - 31 albums total. Notable are an album with about $4000 catalog value of decent items including Columbians and other early commemoratives, also $2 and $5 Washington-Franklins and Kans.-Nebr. complete; an album with over $4000 catalog value in 1857-69 issues mint no gum or regummed; another with about $1500 catalog value; and many in the $100 to $300 catalog value range; also a couple albums of revenues. Quite a range here, with value in the 1857 to 1938 period, plus some back-of-the-book, and lots and lots of modern postage on pages. Mint never hinged, mint hinged, mint no gum and used. Mixed condition with some faults (as would be expected), but with much Fine to Very Fine. There's real value here to be extracted. Shipping weight 120 lbs / 54.5 kilos. There is some value in the classics which are all used but nothing that is high value; much of the real value is in singles, strips and blocks of face which also includes a group of forever sheets at the back of binder 3; there are a few used high value airmails which are neat; total face value is $650+; and includes some airmail and back-of-the-book such as #C4-6 and C18 used with the balance being mostly mint. A useful lot with many little tidbits throughout. A few images of better pages to give a flavor of the lot. View a PDF of images for this lot | $400
