3587 | Worldwide, A Truly Incomparable Exclusively 19th Century Collection, A simply remarkable, yet difficult to comprehend collection of thousands of mint and used items, with more than a handful cataloging into the thousands of dollars ($1,000s) each, housed in the remnants of a 1902 Brown Scott International Album. Dozens of Countries are superbly represented, many indeed near completion for the period, others are not present at all, nor are all the pages. The focus is in what is here and it is truly astounding. To merely list the "better items", could fill pages, an overview followed by a thorough online viewing will certainly tell the story.Beginning with Latin America, most Countries present, which include Argentina, Bolivia, Costa Rica, including "Guanacaste" issues, Ecuador, Guatemala, Peru, Paraguay and Salvador. Peru & Paraguay are each basically complete. The Bolivia includes the Rare, 11 star Scot #19 (signed Kõhler), while Guatemala includes all 3 of the 1881 Quetzal inverted center issues unused (Scott #22a-25a), with the 5¢ a great rarity which catalogs $7,500. Moving on, the Portugal & Portuguese Colonies sections are uniformly outstanding, with Portugal proper plus Acores, Funchal, Guinea, Macau, Madeira, Timor, Mozambique, including the footnote-listed (Scott #P3 variety) inverted surcharge with ISPP certificate. The British Commonwealth of Nations present are all wonderful, including Natal which includes Scott #1-2, #5, etc., lovely Turks Island with scarce surcharge's, striking comprehensive Sarawak, Samoa, superb Sierra Leone, Straits Settlement, amazing Victoria, Falkland Islands, Gambia, Leeward Islands, India, including Scott # O11-14, classic Uganda, Tasmania and others.German States and select French Colonial Issues are well represented, as is Denmark, from a four margin #1 (Royal certificate) on, excellent Monaco, including a mint #10, amazing Luxembourg which is virtually complete including a mint #O64 (Sorani Certificate), excellent Korea & Thailand, extraordinary Turkey, plus San Marino, Netherlands, Tuscany & Two Sicilies, Eastern Rumelia, which includes a choice mint Scott #19a, Liberia all ways, Iceland including four "prir" overprint surcharges, Fernado Poo, with seldom encountered issues, Belgium and so much more. Shipping charges apply - weight 5 lbs. Covering many of the uncommonly encountered primitive issues from so very many areas, the likes of which we have not had the pleasure to offer intact, as in truth, this would make many solid collection lots by Country or Area and even more individual single items of public auction caliber.
